Yes … I’m Running.

Yes … I’m running.

I probably should have done this with a little more fanfare, but the last few months have been busy, both personally and professionally. The momentum we’ve been building in Argyle is real, and I want to keep that going.

I’ve decided to officially run for Argyle Village President and to run to retain my Lafayette County Board seat (District 9), which I was appointed to in November 2024.

In a relatively short time, this community has embraced me, my ideas, and the work we’ve been doing together — from events and modernization efforts to longer-term plans around facilities, housing, and growth. I don’t take that lightly, and I’m excited about what’s ahead.

I hope you’ll support me. If you have questions, ideas, or just want to talk about where Argyle is headed, please reach out — I’m always happy to make time for a conversation.

Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to run and gave me the confidence to take this step. I’m grateful, and I’m looking forward to continuing the work together.

Joe Schutte was nominated for the Village President seat at the January 6 Argyle caucus and filed nomination papers and signatures for the Lafayette County Board Supervisor District 9 seat. Both nominations were reported in the January 15, 2026 edition of the Pecatonica Valley Leader.
